When Eastland Shopping Centre underwent an enormous 570m redevelopment of the new Stage 5 precinct, they turned to James and his team. As with all retail projects of this nature, timeframes/programs were tight. His ability to ensure that the landscape was ready for QIC main opening of the centre was a testament to his commitment to customer service and pragmatic problem solving capability.

The massive $330 million redevelopment of Highpoint Shopping Centre for GPT has gone onto become a multi award winning project since its completing in 2014. ANL were engaged by Probuild Constructions to undertake this project as a full design and construct in partnership with Formium Landscape Architects. We were engaged directly by GPT on the next stage of its One Centre works which continued the overall master landscape theme with Formium Landscape Architects.
ANL were appointed by builder Construction Engineering and client Coles Property to deliver the new Showgrounds Village in Flemington.
Our scope of works included;
- Installation of advanced trees with ‘Stratacell’ to all car park tree pits
- Bulk excavation
- Street furniture installation
- Feature understory planting
- Design and construct the irrigation system
- Landscape maintenance
ANL has completed numerous stages of the Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre over the past five years, with the most recent stage completed in 2014 – The East Entry for builders Ireland Brown and our client Colonial First State Global Asset Management.
Our scope of works included;
- Soft and hard landscapes
- Design and construction of the irrigation System
- Custom feature pots
- Landscape maintenance
Currently maintained for CBRE and Harvey Norman by ANL since practical completion of the site, some 6 years ago.
Positive feedback from management highlights our ability to ensure the landscape fits the big-box nature of this retail centre.
With centre management’s endorsement, ANL has redesigned the entire internal plantscape and similarly designed an appropriate activation of the mezzanine: specifying, supplying and implementing planters and plants delivering an improved tropical feel and helping to improve the customer experience and dwell-time at the centre.
